They needed a digital experience idea and prototype to complement the launch of the next generation that could reflect their ‘Move to Zero’ manifesto, find new ways to power a Nike website and form early ideas about a sustainable digital footprint.

I'm Nick, an independent designer partnering with founders and leadership teams to turn complex ideas into clear, well-crafted digital products.

I specialise in product, web and brand design for companies working in health, AI and data-driven environments — places where regulation, technology and human behaviour intersect, and where clarity, trust and quality of execution genuinely matter.

I'm often brought in when a product or brand feels close but isn't quite landing: to sharpen the idea, clarify the experience and set a strong design direction that teams can actually build from.

My approach is lean and collaborative. I work closely with founders, product and engineering teams to shape ideas, establish strong visual and interaction systems, and design products that are coherent, usable and realistic to build and maintain. No agency theatre, just thoughtful design done properly.

When the work calls for it, I can also assemble and lead a small, high-calibre team; designers, creatives or researchers to extend your internal capability without slowing things down.
